Clean unnecessary vertical space
Blank lines can appear after copying from documents, spreadsheets, logs, code, or exports. Remove all of them for a compact list, or collapse repeated blanks when you still want one line between sections.
Nonblank content stays unchanged
A line containing only spaces or tabs is considered blank. Every nonblank line is preserved exactly, including its indentation and trailing spaces.
