Record your screen, a browser tab, or an app window directly in your browser. Add microphone or shared audio when supported, then preview and download your recording. Nothing is uploaded.

No account, upload, or recording software required.

Record a tab, window, or screen

Your browser will ask what you want to share each time.

Private by design
Your recording stays in your browser. One Job Tools does not upload or store it.

Checking browser support…

Download Recording

Recordings are held in browser memory until you download or discard them. Extremely long recordings may use significant memory; this tool is intended primarily for short-to-medium recordings.

How to record your screen

  1. Choose your audio and countdown options.
  2. Click Start Recording, then use your browser's picker to choose a tab, window, or screen.
  3. After the countdown, pause or stop the recording when needed.
  4. Preview the result and download it directly to your device.

Private browser-based screen capture

Your browser controls the source picker and asks what to share every time. One Job Tools cannot silently choose a screen or reuse screen-capture permission. The captured video, audio, Blob, and downloaded filename stay on your device and are never sent to our analytics.

Screen and system audio availability

The available tabs, windows, screens, and audio options vary by browser and operating system. Requesting shared audio does not guarantee an audio track. If none is returned, the tool continues with video and tells you that shared audio was unavailable.

Technical references

Authoritative details are available in the W3C Screen Capture specification and MDN documentation for getDisplayMedia(), MediaRecorder, and getUserMedia().
